Water Pollution

Humans have been neglecting the responsibility of keeping our water clean. Lakes, Rivers, ponds, and even oceans are affected by the way humans choose to carelessly live.
There are many sources of water pollution. One is Industrial facilities. Many of these facilities use freshwater to dispose of their waste. Nitrates, Phosphates and Sulfur are all chemicals released by industries that are harmful for both humans and marine life to take in. Many fish and birds are effected by these harmful toxins.
Another is Littering. Litter items can kill. These include cardboard, Newspaper, Styrofoam, and Plastic. Many of these type of items can get caught in marine life and cause death.
Sewage is often dumped in to our lakes and oceans. If it is not dumped, many sewage pollutants cause disease and is then harmful to us and all marine life.
We can be more considerate of our water by be conscious of what we are flushing down the toilet (ex. paints, oil), not overusing fertilizers that can pollute our water in runoffs, and by not throwing any objects into the beautiful creation we should be enjoying, not ruining.
